So I don't know about you, but it always seems that 1. I never have enough project bags and 2. that my project bags are never large enough. Luckily for me, I happened to be in the shop the day that the dellaQ rep came by and know that large-sized bags are on their way. That being said, I have been patiently waiting around making do with what I have for that fateful day to arrive, until that is, Wednesday morning.
Once again I found myself with nothing to do and didn't want to work on my knitting on a morning which seemed like it was 90 degrees from the second the sun came up. That being said, I began to search my bin of remnants thinking about the million different things that I could possibly make. After taking a quick look through my One-Yard-Wonders, the simple drawstring backpack in the book reminded me of my need for a large project bag. And voila! Here she is.
Wednesday goes by, and Thursday comes around and I'm sitting in our weekly knit group. Suddenly Jillian comments that my bag matches Margaux's tote and I pull it out just to see the two side by side. Margaux comments that not only should I blog about my bag, but she would love one herself and I say sure. The subject is dropped as quickly as it came up, but the entire time I'm thinking about making a lined bag this time around. So I rush home quickly after group and came up with this.
After working out the attaching of the lining while keeping the drawstring holes open, I am very satisfied with how it turned out. Now all it needs is a ribbon and it will be off to its new home and owner. Hope you enjoy it for a long time to come M!
