Over the past year, I have gotten to know one of the ladies in my knit group very well. She is super sassy little lady who has warmed her way into my heart. It seems that after a summer maternity leave at the shop, we have become inseperable. With the holidays being the wirlwind that they are, we had very little time to see each other and therefore, her Christmas present was never given to her. But no worries, today is her birthday so what a lovely way to thank her for her wonderful support than to give her what she's been dying for all winter?

I have been looking at this pattern for a while, but have never really found a reason to make it. When I was thinking about what to make Diva for Christmas they came to mind again. I rushed to the yarn shop, picked up two hanks of my favorite yarn and started them right away. With the holidays, knitting slowed down, but I got them ready in time for today.
The pattern wasn't difficult to follow. I do recommend using cable needles for a cleaner looking cable. The only mod made was to make a straight hemmed edge on the thumb instead of the picot that the pattern calls for. I would definitely knit this pattern again.
Thanks to my beautiful hand model on her very special birthday!
